Having served in H.M. Royal Marines for 25 years, I gained an interest in photography through my travels.

After a very enjoyable and successful career, I reached retirement age of 40. Too young to call myself a pensioner I worked in various civilian roles for three years.

This period of my working life was an eye opener but the one constant was my photography.

I then embarked on a new career in the Police Service where I remained for 17 years until, once again, I reached the retirement age for that job.

Seeking fulfilment and still feeling I had something to offer, I changed direction completely and entered the world of social care working with people with both learning and physical disabilities. This work has been so very rewarding and I have surprised myself by having to use new and old skills to great effect.

I now work with SEND pupils another enjoyable and challenging opportunity. mainly working outdoors to encourage self confidence and to build relationships with others.

Throughout all of these years, I have photographed so many weddings that I have lost count. I have carried out some commercial work and also tutored people how to understand their cameras.

My favourite genre though is portraiture and fashion taking in street photography too. Having said that, wedding photography is such a great experience no matter what style the happy couple ch

I offer training with regards to all things photography related.

This can be for instance - how to use your camera and to understand the settings so you will not be shooting on automatic.

In my studio I can teach you how to use lighting, backdrops etc talking through at the pace that you can cope with. It is not rocket science but can be daunting unless you are shown how simple things can be done.

I will take you out and about so you can practice what you have learned you can even get a friend or family member to come along to be your model.

Sessions will be 2 - 3 hours or longer if you so desire.
